I've been playing with a neat program called Alchemy [link] recently. It's an experimental drawing tool, and you should definitely check it out. I've already uploaded a few Alchemy sketches that I made a couple days ago, and I plan to upload some more experiments with it in the future.

I saw District 9 on Sunday; it was great. There was definitely a lot of gore and swearing, but it fit with the story so it didn't feel unnecessary. This movie is worth seeing.

In my last journal, I mentioned that I was getting my wisdom teeth removed (just the bottom 2, since I don't have any on the top). Well that was about a month ago, and when I went back for a checkup a week later, the dentist said I had an infection where the bottom right tooth was removed, so he stuck this gauze ribbon thing down in the hole (very painful) so that the pus could drain out properly. He also gave me an irrigation syringe to squirt water in the hole each night (after the gauze had been removed), and I had to take penicillin for a week. By the time the penicillin ran out, everything seemed to be fine, but then a few days later the same side got sore again, and when I pressed lightly on the side of my gum, a bunch of pus squirted out of the hole (yeah, it was pretty gross). So I had to go back to the dentist, get another gauze thing put in the hole, and take penicillin for another week. The dentist said the problem was that the hole was healing closed too fast and trapping the pus or whatever inside. The second penicillin prescription ran out a week ago, and now I'm just supposed to keep rinsing with salt water after I eat and irrigate the hole each night (and actually stick the tip of the syringe down in the hole a little to help keep it open). I feel fine now, so hopefully it won't get infected again.
